The Sports Premium Fund is designed to promote increased participation and competition and to widen the sporting opportunities in primary schools.
At Debden Primary Academy, we are committed to ensuring that Sports Premium Funding is used to:
- Increase the range of sporting activities on offer
- Increase the number of children participating in competitive sporting events
- Increase the number of sporting competitions entered
- Ensure that an inclusive sports curriculum is delivered, including competition
- Promote an active life style – to develop a love of sport and physical activity
- Increase the range of resources available at playtimes to promote physical activity
As a school, we strive to provide all pupils with a range of sporting opportunities within an active and competitive PE curriculum.
The school has once again been awarded The School Games Gold Sports Mark in 2021-22. This was maintained from 2020-21, 2019-20 and 2018-19.
